Script Exporter

Prometheus compatible Script exporter.

Script Exporter is a Juju subordinate charm that deploys the Prometheus Script Exporter on machines, exposing metrics gathered from the output of user-defined scripts over a Prometheus-compatible endpoint. It is a complementary charm to the Canonical Observability Stack (COS): https://documentation.ubuntu.com/observability

As a subordinate, it is deployed alongside a principal charm and runs scripts on the host machine, converting their output into metrics that Prometheus can scrape.

Key features:

• Execute custom scripts and expose their output as Prometheus metrics.
• Support for single script files or archives containing multiple scripts with subdirectories.
• Configurable script exporter and Prometheus scrape job definitions via Juju config.
• Integration with the cos-agent interface for forwarding scrape jobs to the OpenTelemetry Collector or Grafana Agent.
