An extensible metadata platform for data discovery, observability, and governance.

DataHub is an extensible data catalog that enables data discovery, data observability, and federated data governance. It gathers metadata such as tables, topics, schemas, ownership, and lineage from your data systems and serves it through a searchable web interface and a rich API.

This charm automates the deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of DataHub on Kubernetes. It manages the DataHub metadata service (GMS), web frontend, and actions framework, and integrates with PostgreSQL, Kafka, and OpenSearch for storage, with Trino for automatic metadata ingestion, with identity providers for single sign-on, and with the Canonical Observability Stack for monitoring.

It is intended for data platform teams who want a governed, discoverable data landscape without the complexity of manual deployment and ongoing service management. It is a core component of the Canonical Data Mesh solution.
