  • nts-certificates | string

A comma-separated list of juju secret IDs for enabling NTS with. Each juju secret ID must be a juju secret URI (i.e. start with secret:). The secret must include two fields: the cert field, which contains the PEM-encoded TLS certificate, and the key field, which contains an unencrypted PEM-encoded TLS key. You can create and grant access to the secret using the juju add-secret and juju grant-secret commands. For instance: juju add-secret my-tls-cert cert#file=/path/to/fullchain.pem key#file=/path/to/key.pem juju grant-secret my-tls-cert chrony

  • server-name | string

This configuration specifies the server name for the Chrony server. The charm will use this server name to request TLS certificates for enabling Network Time Security (NTS). A wildcard certificate will be requests to cover all subdomains of this server name, allowing each unit to announce itself individually. For instance, if "example.com" is provided as the server name, the charm will request a certificate with DNS:*.example.com, DNS:example.com as subject alternative names. IP addresses should not be used as the server name.

  • sources | string

Time sources for the Chrony server are specified as a comma-separated list of URLs. Currently, the Chrony charm supports using only another NTP server as the time source. The format for NTP source URLs is as follows: ntp://host[:port][?options], where the options is the same with Chrony pool configuration settings (https://chrony-project.org/doc/4.5/chrony.conf.html). For NTP sources that support NTS, the URL format is: nts://host[:nts-ke-port][?options]. The options for NTS URLs are the same as those for NTP sources. Here are some examples of supported sources: ntp://ntp.example.com ntp://ntp.example.com:1234 ntp://ntp.example.com?iburst=true&maxsources=2 nts://ntp.example.com
