## [Major Version Upgrade](https://charmhub.io/mongos-k8s/docs/h-major-upgrades#p-38521-major-version-upgrade)

After having upgraded your sharded cluster using [MongoDB documentation](https://discourse.charmhub.io/t/18357), you can proceed to deploy a new Mongos K8s application ([see docs](https://charmhub.io/mongos-k8s#deploy-and-integrate)) and relate it with the config-server as you have done as part of the tutorial.

Please note that Mongos 6 and MongoDB 8 are not compatible so you have to update them separately.
