# Canonical Kubernetes

Deploy Canonical Kubernetes in seconds with `juju deploy k8s`.

Canonical Kubernetes `k8s` is a performant, lightweight, secure and opinionated **Kubernetes** distribution that includes all the components you need to create and manage scalable clusters for any use case. This [charm](https://canonical.com/juju/charms-architecture) automates the deployment and operation of a Kubernetes control plane node on any machine-type cloud.

## [Quick Start](https://charmhub.io/k8s#p-30028-quick-start)

Deploy with recommended specifications to ensure optimal performance:

```
juju deploy k8s --constraints='cores=2 mem=16G root-disk=40G'
```

### [Recommended Control Plane Constraints](https://charmhub.io/k8s#p-30028-recommended-control-plane-constraints)

* 2+ CPU cores
* 16G memory
* 40G root disk
